Día Mundial de la Lucha contra el SIDA
Como decía el Dr. Ramos en el último artículo publicado en amplia-mente.com, nos encanta conmemorar los «Días internacionales de…» y hoy queremos aprovechar que el próximo día 1 de Diciembre se celebra el «Día Mundial de la Lucha contra el SIDA» para hacer referencia a una nueva práctica detectada: el ChemSex.
ChemSex: a dangerous trend

Además son muy fáciles de conseguir, ya que son de venta libre en internet, algunas de ellas vendidas de forma legal bajo otro uso distinto al del consumo humano, como sales de baño o como abono para las plantas, como ya vimos en el artículo «“Legal highs”: más rápidas que la ley«.

Entre otros aquellos efectos de origen neurológico como las convulsiones, los brotes psicóticos o las alucinaciones que pueden ocasionar o los efectos de afectación cardiovascular, como taquicardia, hipertensión arterial o arritmias que pueden llevar a la muerte al sujeto.

Por otro lado como decíamos al principio se ha detectado un aumento en el número de casos de contagio de HIV y otras enfermedades de transmisión sexual como la hepatitis B o la hepatitis C, ya que la liberalización del pudor y la expansión que provocan estas drogas les hacen asumir mayores riesgos, no utilizando condones en sus relaciones sexuales, facilitando así la transmisión de estos virus. Y además todas estas drogas emergentes van a interfir con los antiretrovirales utilizados en el tratamiento del SIDA, ya que ambas sustancias, las drogas emergentes y los antiretrovirales van a competir por el sistema del citocromo P450 (CitP450), encargado de la metabolización de ambas, haciendo que disminuya la potencia de los fármacos terapéuticos utilizados en el tratamiento del SIDA, disminuyendo así su eficacia y por tanto retrasando, en muchas ocasiones, y a veces, haciéndolos inútiles.

Como vemos esta nueva tendencia que se está extendiendo como decimos por nuestras ciudades, de las «Sex Parties» acompañadas de drogas emergentes, fenómeno conocido como ChemSex, no solo es perjudicial por el uso en sí de las propias sustancias psicotrópicas, si no también por las conductas de riesgos que se facilitan y que hacen que aumente la posibilidad de contagio de enfermedades virales, que en muchas ocasiones pueden llegar a ser mortales.
