¿Quien le ayuda?
El pasado día 25 de noviembre, se celebraba el día internacional para la eliminación de la violencia contra la mujer. Muchos de ustedes, estimados lectores se preguntarán el motivo de que no se escribiera el artículo de hoy en esa fecha, y éste no es otro que el tremendo oportunismo que se respiraba en los medios de comunicación al respecto. Sin duda, España vive el principio de lo que será un convulso año electoral y la lucha contra la violencia de género vende y mucho.

Al respecto (y como ejemplo), El Observatorio contra la Violencia de Género del Consejo General del Poder Judicial acaba de proponer 13 medidas para mejorar la protección de las víctimas de maltrato. Básicamente se han analizado los casos (mejor dicho, los fallos) de 14 casos en los que la víctima acabó asesinada por su pareja. Se enumeran toda una serie de medidas a proponer en cuanto a cambios legislativos o de procedimientos policiales y/o judiciales respecto a este problema. Todo ello es muy loable y necesario, pero ¿en que ayuda a ese facultativo medico de atención primaria que en base a la cercanía a su cupo de población tiene conocimiento de un caso de violencia de género? En muchísimas ocasiones, incluso en aquellos casos en los que ha habido una muerte sin denuncia previa, no se han podido poner en marcha los procedimientos judiciales de protección por el simple hecho de que las autoridades judiciales competentes no conocían del caso. ¿No creen que alguna de esas medidas propuestas deberían incluir la formación del personal sanitario? Se está hablando de agilizar la comunicación entre los servicios médicos y los judiciales (se pone el ejemplo de un caso en el que el parte de lesiones generado 10 días antes del asesinato, llegó al juzgado 24 horas después del crimen). ¿no creen estimados lectores que en este caso concreto hubiese sido mas “rentable” haber entrenado al personal sanitario para detectar la situación incluso antes del día en que la víctima acude por lesiones (10 días antes de la muerte de la víctima). Es que bajo nuestro punto de vista, no solo se trata de evitar que esa mujer sea asesinada, sino que también hay que asegurar por nuestras administraciones que esa mujer no sufra tampoco las lesiones vistas esos 10 días antes o lo que puede ser peor, la situación de terror que posiblemente ha vivido durante los últimos meses o en el peor de los casos, años.
